Dr. Leyden is a trauma healing professional working with communities experiencing the effects of war and gun violence. In 2007 she established Create Global Healing to support trauma healing for post-genocide communities in Rwanda and Indigenous populations in Australia and refugee communities in Australia. Her work in the US includes Sandy Hook Elementary School after the shooting and 17 months with the survivors of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting.
