With a deadline of July 20th, the 2020 CalCPA Salary Survey is now open for submissions!

In participation with Cal CPA’s LA MAP (Management of an Accounting Practice) Group, we are excited to announce we are taking the survey statewide!

What is the CalCPA Salary Survey?

The survey consists of a selection of questions that we send only to Partners of CPA firms within the state of California. This survey will ask a range of questions that will provide information regarding the following:

• Current salaries of all staff members
• Salary increases/decreases made within the past year
• Overtime hours & rates
• Charge hours & billing rates
• Employee benefits

What will we do with this information?

Once we collect the survey information, we will compile all results, stratify data, and organize it into a color PDF that we will send back to you. This data will display measures of central tendency and variability for CPA firms across the state of California. The data can further be used:

• To compare your firm’s numbers to other firms throughout California
• As a tool/guide for hiring and salary reviews

Please join us for a 2-hour LIVE presentation via Zoom on Wednesday, August 19th, from 12 noon to 2 pm PST. This presentation will consist of a 90-minute discussion of the survey results plus a 30-minute moderated Q & A. 

Why is this a unique opportunity?

Because of the economic crisis that resulted from the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, the data provided from this salary survey will be more valuable than ever! Last year, we had 45 firms participate (in So Cal alone); we expect even more for 2020. Greater participation in the survey will ensure more accurate results.

Confidentiality: All information will be aggregated & averaged to eliminate the ability to identify any specific firm’s provided data. It takes less than 90 minutes to complete the survey.

Important information

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have moved the survey submission deadline to July 20, 2020. We ask that the salary information you provide reflects compensation as of June 30, 2020.

We will work quickly to aggregate the data so you can make timely salary decisions for your annual reviews.
